Swedish firm White Arkitekter completed the wave-shaped concrete reservoir in Varberg, Sweden, elevated on nine columns. The tower was constructed to address the growing water demand in the municipality.
Commenters shared their thoughts on the reservoir, with one describing it as “brutal but wavuncular” and another asking, “how can we maximise the impact of this brutal structure on the landscape?”
Other stories in this week’s newsletter that fired up the comments section included an installation of 3D-printed stars by Carlos Betancourt and Alberto Latorre, David Chipperfield’s latest project in France and a cultural centre in Togo by Kéré Architecture.
