The fourth volume in the anthology series Love, Death + Robots is heading to Netflix, and we got a NSFW trailer today to celebrate the occasion.
The new season (or “volume,” as the show designates them) will include ten animated shorts from different teams of artists. The trailer gives us a glimpse of some of them, and they seem as varied in storylines as in animation styles.
We don’t have details yet on what specific tales each episode will explore, but we do know that one includes a disgruntled talking cat who watches their owners get it on, another has a claymation of something that looks like a blue sentient phallus with eyes on a certain part of its anatomy, while yet another has leviathan baby dolls on attack.
“I try to get a mix of horror, sci-fi, and fantasy,” creator Tim Miller (Deadpool, Terminator: Dark Fate) told Netflix’s Tudum about the upcoming season. “And we work with some really fucking fantastic writers and artists.”
It’s been three years since season three of Love, Death + Robots brought us new episodes. In addition to Miller as the creator, the show boasts David Fincher (Mindhunter, The Killer) as an executive producer and Jennifer Yuh Nelson (Kung Fu Panda 2, Kill Team Kill) as supervising director. Miller, Yuh Nelson, and Fincher have all also directed episodes of the series.
The fourth volume of Love, Death + Robots starts streaming on Netflix on May 15, 2025.
