The cozy and lived-in vibe in this space makes anyone walking in feel at home. It has an inviting ambiance setting the tone. Simultaneously, visual intrigue is added as light and dark wooden accents come together. Igor Bartyna really knew what she was doing when she put together this cozy, Scandinavian-inspired interior—and we’re here for it!
Square footage is limited, so this home uses an open floor plan (and floor-to-ceiling windows) for roominess. In the living area, a beige color palette reigns. This can be seen in the comfy sectional—providing room to have a seat and lie down—and a jute rug. Two mismatched coffee tables add visual interest, while the bookshelf makes room for decor accessories and plants.
The dining area features a comfy light oakwood table that also doubles as the kitchen island. In the kitchen, we see dark wooden lower cabinetry paired with lighter cabinets above. This adds diversity in the color scheme (even if the space sticks to mere neutrals). A special mention for the under-cabinet lighting and gold hardware factoring in luxury.
The bedroom is a cozy haven! We see wooden elements extending from top to bottom. These smartly set a neutral color palette and create an inviting ambiance simultaneously. We also see warmth added through the soft bed upholstery, lived-in bedding, and a wooden (but sleek) workstation.
The lighting also works strategically to enhance the ambiance. The pendant lights flanking the bed light up the decor on the side tables, while the accent lighting in the wall makes it an “understated” accent feature. Quiet luxury—that doesn’t shout for attention—is what we’d like to call this room.
The cozy vibe continues to the bathroom, where we see a mix of differently patterned tiles. These make the ambiance interesting as the wooden vanity ensures warmth. The large round mirror is another design secret adding a sense of movement to the space. Lined with lighting—and paired with the large potted plant—this nook easily forms the focal point of the space! Finally, the tub and shower cubicle make sure the space is as functional as is stylish.
